Legrand | AV, a global leader in audiovisual solutions, announced the appointment of Darrin Thurston as chief technology officer (CTO), a newly created C-suite position intended to underscore the company’s commitment to innovation, portfolio growth, and the global Legrand Ambition 2030 strategic program.
Thurston’s appointment marks the first executive-level technology leadership role within Legrand | AV. He will assume the post on December 1, 2025, directing the company’s global technology strategy, portfolio expansion, strategic partnerships, and the evaluation of potential mergers and acquisitions. In addition, he will guide Legrand | AV’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agenda, ensuring technology innovation advances sustainability and customer value.
A longtime Legrand | AV executive and former VP and GM of Vaddio and Luxul, Thurston has played a key role in advancing the company’s connected-technology initiatives and fostering collaboration across its brands.

In tandem with Thurston’s appointment, Mark Plummer has been promoted to vice president and general manager, Connected Platforms and Ecosystems, expanding his leadership to include the Vaddio, Luxul, Middle Atlantic Products, On-Q, and C2G brands. Nathan Bohl has also been elevated to VP and GM, Display Infrastructure, taking on responsibility for the Da-Lite brand alongside SANUS and Echogear. Separately, Gary Hess will transition to VP and GM, Power, Access & Control within Legrand’s Data, Power & Control Division for Legrand North and Central America, effective January 1, 2026.
