Ripple Fiber has begun serving its first residents in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, with construction ongoing on its Illinois-wide network expansion. The initial phase aims to bring live service to about 5,000 households over the next several months, as Ripple Fiber expands its footprint across the state into additional neighborhoods in 2026.
CEO Greg Wilson said the milestone underscores Ripple Fiber’s commitment to delivering transformational infrastructure across Illinois, noting that a future-proof fiber network can support education, economic growth, and technology adoption in underserved communities.
Residents in upcoming rollout areas are encouraged to pre-order, while households in neighborhoods that already have service can schedule installations.
Ripple Fiber’s Illinois offering emphasizes:
- Symmetrical
- Upload
- Download
- Speed
- Security
In addition to the service features above, Ripple Fiber plans to deliver a 1 Gig and 2 Gig “Price for Life” option, transparent pricing with no contracts, and a White Glove installation experience to ensure a seamless setup.
The Elk Grove Village build is part of Ripple Fiber’s initial $104 million project started earlier this year. Ripple says neighboring Naperville, Streamwood, Joliet, and Aurora residents will receive communications ahead of the planned 2026 launches, with the Itasca office supporting local operations.
