Ritter Communications partnered with ESA International to help raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during the 46th Annual St. Jude Radio/Cablethon on Saturday, March 7. The one-day total reached $377,242.
The company says this was its 19th consecutive year supporting the event, which has generated more than $5.2 million over that span.
Organized by the Northeast Arkansas Chapter of ESA International in Blytheville, the event spotlights local talent and past St. Jude patients to sustain fundraising momentum year after year.
This year’s Cablethon was streamed on YouTube and used KHLS Cash Country 96.3 FM for radio feed, expanding reach beyond the immediate region.
Ritter’s public relations manager, Jessica Nixon, said in the release: “The ladies of ESA relentlessly work to raise money for the children of St. Jude, and we are honored each year to be part of their life-saving work.”
The release also notes St. Jude’s policy of not billing patients or families for treatment, travel, housing or food, with funds raised through events like the Cablethon directly supporting that model.
Ritter Communications describes itself as the largest privately held telecom provider focused on the Mid-South, serving 197 communities and more than 65,000 customers across six states from its Jonesboro, Arkansas headquarters. The company notes it has invested millions in technology infrastructure as it expands broadband, telecom, video and data center services in the region.
