Mediacom Unveils Budget Plan for Veterans

Mediacom Communications has launched Xtream Connect, a low-cost broadband plan targeted at active-duty military personnel, reservists, and veterans, featuring solid speeds and substantial incentives.

Mediacom Communications unveiled a new Xtream Connect broadband plan aimed at veterans, active-duty servicemembers, and reservists. The offer includes download speeds up to 100 Mbps and uploads up to 20 Mbps, with free installation and activation and Wi‑Fi equipment provided by eero.

The plan is advertised at $29.99 per month with a five-year price lock, helping subscribers shield themselves from short-term rate changes while staying connected. In addition to the price benefits, the service includes eero’s mesh technology designed to expand coverage and minimize interruptions, along with built-in security features and parental controls.

Mediacom backs the Xtream Connect package with a 90‑day money-back guarantee and 24/7 local support, underscoring the company’s intent to support military households during deployment cycles and daily life alike.

Company executives described the initiative as both a customer benefit and a gesture to military families. Tapan Dandnaik, Mediacom’s senior vice president for operations and product strategy, framed the plan as a way to “give back” and to help service members stay connected to what matters most.

Beyond military households, Mediacom says Xtream Connect will be open to any residence within its service area that participates in certain federal assistance programs, including the National School Lunch Program, SNAP, Medicaid, Federal Public Housing Assistance, SSI and WIC. The company positions the move as part of a broader digital equity effort to improve broadband access for underserved populations.
