Long Lines Broadband today announced the promotion of Joe Junck to president and general manager, effective as Paul Bergmann prepares to retire after nearly 40 years with the Iowa provider. The transition is underway, with Bergmann set to retire at the end of March 2026.
Junck, who has been with Long Lines for more than 23 years and most recently served as director of field operations, will oversee all company operations and continue advancing Flight Fiber infrastructure investments that bring cutting-edge connectivity to the tri-state region. He will operate from Long Lines’ headquarters in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa.
Diego Anderson, president of Schurz Broadband Group, said: “Paul has dedicated nearly 40 years to the company in various progressive leadership roles, and he has been an invaluable part of our business. We are grateful for his dedication and lasting contributions, and we are excited to see Joe step into this role.”
“I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together,” Bergmann commented. “After four decades with this company, I feel truly blessed by the people and experiences along the way. Long Lines is fortunate to have Schurz Communications as its parent company, and I’m thrilled to pass the leadership to Joe.”
Junck will steer ongoing and future operations, including continued Flight Fiber deployment to expand service footprints in the region, strengthening Long Lines’ commitment to reliable, customer-focused connectivity.
