IQ Fiber has officially begun service in Delaware, marking the company’s entry as its fifth state and launching in Kent County on an all-fiber network designed for speed, reliability, and a better customer experience.
The Kent County rollout is the first step in a planned investment of more than $150 million in Delaware, with network deployment expected to continue over the next 18 to 24 months and the creation of more than 50 permanent jobs in the state.
IQ Fiber’s leadership highlights a customer-first approach: straightforward pricing, no contracts, in-house 24/7 support, and whole-home Wi-Fi. Ted Schremp, IQ Fiber’s CEO, said the company’s model is built around delivering a modern, 100% fiber network backed by people who live and work in the communities it serves.
Governor Matt Meyer welcomed the investment, noting that private-sector commitments like IQ Fiber’s help Delaware keep pace with growth. The administration’s Permitting Accelerator program, including the Priority Broadband designation, is designed to streamline reviews and expedite deployment so communities gain faster access to reliable connectivity.
IQ Fiber’s Delaware network uses an XGS-PON platform offering symmetrical speeds up to 10 gigabits per second with 99.99% reliability, delivering consistent performance for streaming, remote work, gaming, and business productivity. Plans start at $65 per month and include professional installation and Whole-Home WiFi 7, along with the company’s Stress-Free Guarantee — no contracts, no data caps, and proactive, in-house monitoring of every connection. A Sales, Engineering, and Technical Operations Center has been established in Dover to support ongoing rollout across the state.
To celebrate the Delaware launch, IQ Fiber will hold three events: a ribbon cutting at the Dover operations office at 2:00 PM, a cabinet signing ceremony at 4:30 PM, and a Fiberhood gathering from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Cool Springs Fish Bar & Restaurant, inviting residents and leaders to learn about service plans and connect with the team.
