With less than a month to go before the April 26 deadline, potential entrants are urged to prepare and submit their nominations promptly.
The 2026 Broadband Communities Awards, run by Broadband Communities since 2004, has updated categories and revised judging procedures to keep pace with rapid changes in broadband deployment and digital services.
Winners will be announced August 26 during the Broadband Communities Summit in Houston, at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
The awards recognize projects with measurable results—extending fiber to underserved neighborhoods, deploying advanced in-building systems for multifamily housing, or forging partnerships that accelerate digital inclusion.
Entrants should review the submission requirements now and assemble documentation that shows impact and metrics such as subscriber growth, network improvements, partnership outcomes, or increased digital access. Late submissions are usually not accepted.
Past winners have included network operators, equipment makers, municipalities, and community organizations, highlighting the breadth of work celebrated by the program.
