Gateway Fiber marked the start of construction for Moorhead’s new all-fiber network during a ribbon-cutting at the Hjemkomst Center on October 16.
Crews will deploy fiber-to-the-home infrastructure delivering symmetrical upload and download speeds of 1 Gbps or higher to homes and businesses across the city.
Company officials highlighted customer-facing policies, including no data caps, no hidden fees, no-contract options, and local support.
Gateway said the build will deliver 100% fiber optic connections and that first customers are expected to be connected in the coming months.
The Moorhead project is part of Gateway’s broader push across Minnesota, designed to spur competition and attract investment in local broadband, following a February merger with WANRack and KWIKOM Communications that expands capacity to serve residential, commercial and enterprise clients.
Residents and businesses can sign up for updates and service information on Gateway Fiber’s Moorhead build via the company’s website, which also lists career opportunities.
