Ripple Fiber has kicked off construction in Ocean Shores, Washington, launching a 126-mile fiber build that marks the state’s first ground breaking for the company.
The project is the first phase of Ripple Fiber’s broader $250 million plan to deliver fiber internet to more than 200,000 homes and businesses across Grays Harbor County and King County, with service expected to reach Washington customers in the first quarter of 2026.
Mitzi McMahan, Ripple Fiber’s director of government affairs, said residents have been actively engaged and that the network will provide high-speed, symmetric fiber connections to thousands of homes and businesses in Ocean Shores, enabling work, education and everyday activities.
Once Ocean Shores is underway, construction crews are slated to move into Federal Way in the coming weeks as Ripple Fiber pursues expansion beyond Ocean Shores. The company says it will establish a local office in each market and hire locally to ensure a strong community presence and improved customer service.
The network will be built with 10 gig, 100 percent fiber optic infrastructure, delivering reliable speeds that support remote work, streaming, gaming and online learning. Ripple Fiber offers three core packages—500 Mbps, 1 Gig and 2 Gig—along with transparent pricing and no contracts or hidden fees.
