Ripple Fiber reports the first construction sector in Elk Grove Village is complete as it forges ahead with its Cook County fiber rollout, with DuPage County expansion planned for early 2026.

Ripple Fiber, a 100% fiber-optic internet provider and network operator, announced that the first sector in Elk Grove Village has been completed, marking a key milestone in its Cook County rollout.

Construction in Elk Grove Village began in June 2025 as part of a $104 million project, and crews are progressing ahead of schedule. The initial set of households will be able to access Ripple Fiber’s high-speed network in the coming weeks.

Ripple plans to move next into neighboring DuPage County, with construction anticipated to begin in early 2026. Nearby Naperville, Streamwood, Joliet, and Aurora residents will receive direct communications and notifications of launch events ahead of the planned construction activity.

“Since entering Illinois this summer, we have made significant progress thanks to the hard-working crews and the support of local leaders and partners who share our vision of future-proof infrastructure for thousands of homes,” said Ryan Zakany, Senior Vice President of Fiber Construction at Ripple Fiber.

Elk Grove Village Mayor Craig Johnson praised the project’s execution, noting that residents have reported no complaints about the ongoing work, a sign of the crews’ consideration for neighborhoods. Ripple has opened a local office at 945 W. Hawthorn Dr., Itasca, and has participated in community events such as the Oktoberfest Parade in Elk Grove Village.

As the rollout continues, residents are encouraged to pre-order Ripple Fiber service online or by phone. The company emphasizes a 100% fiber-optic network with symmetric upload and download speeds, transparent pricing without contracts, and its Price for Life guarantee on multi-gig package options.
