Cable One’s COO Ken Johnson is honored as part of the Cable TV Pioneers Class of 2025 for his leadership and impact on rural broadband.

Ken Johnson, chief operating officer of Cable One, has been inducted into the Cable TV Pioneers Class of 2025, a prestigious industry honor recognizing leaders who have made lasting contributions to cable and broadband.

“Ken’s career reflects the very best of our industry — a commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and above all, connecting people and communities,” said Julie Laulis, President and CEO of Cable One and fellow Cable TV Pioneer.

Johnson, who has more than 30 years of experience in the field, said he is humbled by the recognition, noting that the award reflects the collaboration of mentors, leaders, and teams who care deeply about serving communities.

Since joining Cable One in 2018, he has helped guide the company’s long-term strategy and overseen key infrastructure investments designed to deliver reliable, high-speed broadband across its 24-state footprint, with a focus on expanding rural connectivity.

In addition to his executive duties, Johnson serves on the boards of the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC), the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE), and the CableLabs Technical Committee, underscoring his broader leadership in the industry.

Founded in 1966, the Cable TV Pioneers recognize individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to the cable industry and the communities they serve, a standard Johnson meets through his work to improve access and quality of service.
