IQGeo has finalized its acquisition of Deepomatic, an AI computer vision developer, aimed at enhancing predictive maintenance for telecom networks. The move signals a new phase in IQGeo’s strategy to automate and optimize network maintenance.

IQGeo has finalized its acquisition of Deepomatic, a Paris-based AI computer vision developer, to accelerate predictive maintenance across telecom networks.

IQGeo’s CTO, David Cottingham, said the Deepomatic platform can be integrated with IQGeo’s Network Manager to verify field work through computer vision, while also capturing a rich dataset from each image to improve the accuracy of operators’ as-built records.

Cottingham noted that the data-driven approach could help correct decades of errors in network data—estimates place misalignments at around 20-30%—reducing the need for costly resurveying in the field.

Looking ahead, IQGeo plans to deploy proactive AI agents that analyze images and sensor data to surface recommended actions, enabling maintenance on a predictive rather than reactive basis.

The release frames the move as a step toward agentification of the network, where software assumes a greater share of operational control and automates task validation at the point of work. IQGeo also expects improved quality control on installations, since contractors can be verified by AI before payment is released.

At close, Deepomatic reportedly served about 20 telecom operator customers, underscoring the potential to scale AI-driven field processes across IQGeo’s customer base.
