GoNetspeed has completed a $7.6 million fiber internet expansion in Danbury, Connecticut.
The project was fully funded by GoNetspeed, and, as a result, 14,300 locations in Fairfield County’s Danbury area gained access to the provider’s services.
Tom Perrone, COO of GoNetspeed, said the new infrastructure “delivers an internet experience designed to exceed the demands of modern life” and noted the Danbury project is part of a broader Northeast expansion disclosed in an early August announcement.
Danbury joins other Connecticut communities such as Bridgeport, New Haven, and Hartford that already have GoNetspeed service, according to the company. In total, GoNetspeed now serves customers across 11 states.
Going forward, the company says the Danbury expansion is part of its ongoing effort to extend next-generation broadband across the Northeast.
