DigitalC has connected its 6,000th household in Cleveland, marking another milestone for Ohio’s largest city’s citywide network.
The milestone was followed by a $500,000 in-kind donation from GFiber, which includes Tarana-fixed wireless equipment to help DigitalC expand its Canopy home internet service.
DigitalC relies on Tarana’s ngFWA technology to power its network, delivering symmetrical 100 Mbps internet at affordable rates to households within its footprint.
CEO Joshua Edmonds described the milestone as a continuing ‘love story’ that aims to create opportunity for every resident in Cleveland.
In announcing the donation, DigitalC said the Tarana equipment will increase bandwidth and scale its model citywide. Cleveland has faced long-standing connectivity challenges, having been ranked among the worst-connected large U.S. cities in the past.
DigitalC also celebrated the achievement with a YouTube video highlighting progress toward broader access.
