Charter Communications named Nick Jeffery as its new chief operating officer to accelerate Spectrum’s growth and strengthen customer service.

Charter Communications has named Nick Jeffery as its new chief operating officer, confirming he will oversee marketing and sales, field operations, and customer operations for Spectrum’s residential and business services. Jeffery is slated to begin on September 1 and will be based in Stamford, Conn.

He will join Charter’s senior leadership team to build on the company’s assets, bolster Spectrum’s service reputation, and drive growth across Charter’s 41-state footprint, reporting directly to CEO Chris Winfrey.

Jeffery’s background includes leading Frontier Communications through its recovery from bankruptcy, expanding fiber network coverage, and delivering a marked improvement in customer satisfaction. While at Vodafone UK, he led a multi‑year turnaround that returned the business to growth and industry‑leading Net Promoter Scores.

Charter’s statement quotes Winfrey praising Jeffery’s leadership and operational expertise as the right fit to accelerate Spectrum’s next growth phase. Jeffery described Spectrum as having “winning assets,” including a fully deployed converged network and an industry‑leading video strategy, and he said he looks forward to working with Charter’s executive team to improve the customer experience and operational performance.
