DojoNetworks has named Charles Walker as its new Chief Operating Officer, marking a pivotal step in the company’s growth trajectory.
Walker arrives after a successful run leading proptech initiatives at Aerwave and previously steering operations at Equity Residential, where he built relationships with national suppliers and manufacturers to craft operational strategies. Equity Residential is a NMHC Top 5 owner, comprising roughly 300 communities and over 80,000 units, and DojoNetworks notes his work in smart access, remote monitoring, and smart-home initiatives contributed to a better resident experience.
DojoNetworks’ founder and president, Daniel Myers, called Walker a transformative leader with a proven ability to scale organizations. “His track record of transforming companies—from growing a $50 million operation to $250 million, to shaping proptech strategy for large residential portfolios—positions him to accelerate our growth,” Myers said. “Charlie’s entrepreneurial spirit and belief that transparency and people are the keys to success align perfectly with our culture.”
Before Aerwave, Walker led proptech efforts at Equity Residential, where he helped develop operational strategies and partnerships with suppliers to address property management challenges, expanding offerings like smart building access, remote camera systems, and enhanced amenities.
Walker himself expressed excitement about the role, noting that world-class network infrastructure is the non-negotiable foundation for modern proptech and that he looks forward to building scalable processes with the DojoNetworks team to support customers and the MDU sector as a whole.
