Ripple Fiber announces expansion into Haverhill, Massachusetts, bringing 100-percent fiber internet and free municipal access.

Ripple Fiber announced plans to begin constructing its Massachusetts fiber network in Haverhill, expanding its 100-percent fiber network to the city. The project will span more than 10,000 homes and businesses, with construction scheduled to begin in the coming months and service expected to launch later this year. The company also indicated it will provide free internet access for all of Haverhill’s municipally owned buildings.

“Expansion across Massachusetts is a core focus for us, and it would not be possible without collaborative partnerships like the ones we have in Haverhill,” said Stephen Maher, Ripple Fiber’s director of government affairs. “This investment will deliver reliable, future-proof connectivity and support the community’s needs for decades.”

Ripple Fiber describes its network as a strong, dependable 100-percent fiber platform with exceptional bandwidth, symmetrical speeds, enhanced security, and improved reliability. For residents using Wi‑Fi for remote work, online learning, gaming, or streaming, multigigabyte packages are available with transparent pricing and no contracts or hidden fees. The company also offers a “white glove installation” and a 30-day service promise to ensure a smooth start.

Haverhill Mayor Melinda E. Barrett welcomed the project, highlighting the importance of a competitive broadband market for residents. “Having an alternative fiber provider in the city has long been sought by residents. The upfront investment to build aerial and underground networks is substantial, and Ripple Fiber has shown a collaborative, community‑minded approach through right-of-way negotiations,” she said. “If they deliver high-speed fiber to thousands of homes and free internet to our schools and municipal buildings, that is a step toward digital inclusion for all in the city.”

Beyond Haverhill, Ripple Fiber has been expanding in nearby communities, including Merrimac, Holden, and West Boylston, with Clinton welcoming a new office. Ripple notes its Essex County footprint continues to grow as part of its statewide expansion plans.
