Ripple Fiber Expands Washington Footprint

Ripple Fiber outlines plans to grow its Washington presence with a near $250 million investment, construction in Ocean Shores and Federal Way, and a first wave of WA customers expected in early 2026.

Ripple Fiber, a 100-percent fiber-optic internet provider and network operator, has unveiled a plan to expand its footprint into Washington state. The rollout is expected to bring high-speed fiber access to more than 200,000 homes across Grays Harbor County and King County, backed by a near $250 million investment.

Construction is set to begin in the coming weeks in Ocean Shores and Federal Way, with Ripple Fiber targeting service launches for its first Washington customers in early 2026.

“Ripple Fiber’s expansion into Washington state represents the ninth state for our coast-to-coast network and marks a significant milestone in our growth strategy,” said Greg Wilson, founder and CEO. “As construction gears up, we look forward to catalyzing digital access for communities across the state.”

Washington remains a state where many residents lack fiber connectivity. A report from Reviews.org released earlier this year estimated that a considerable portion of the state’s population remains unserved or underserved. Ripple Fiber seeks to help close that gap by delivering future-proof fiber infrastructure to the region.

In Ocean Shores, the local mayor welcomed the project, noting that “fiber will increase opportunities—improved connectivity will empower residents to work from home and open new internet options along the coast.” Ripple Fiber plans to open a local retail office soon to enhance customer support and local engagement.

Beyond this initial project, Ripple Fiber is exploring additional Washington locations to extend fiber access, with homeowners in Ocean Shores, Federal Way, and nearby communities receiving mailed updates as each construction phase progresses. Pre-orders are expected to accompany the rollout, and Ripple Fiber officials encouraged residents to stay tuned for details.
