Wire 3 Expands Florida Fiber to Port St. Lucie

Wire 3 extends its Coastal Florida fiber footprint with Port St. Lucie connection as part of its 10-Gig city initiative.

Wire 3 is expanding its Coastal Florida fiber footprint with Port St. Lucie now connected to the network, extending service to more than 200,000 residents and nearby businesses.

The project follows a $12 million investment, and Wire 3 states its fiber network can deliver up to 10 gigabits per second, describing speeds as “ten times faster than traditional cable offerings.”

Port St. Lucie joins other Wire 3 communities in the footprint, including Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach, Holly Hill, New Smyrna Beach and Edgewater. The city, the county seat of St. Lucie County, has a population around 200,000.

CEO Jai Ramachandran said the Florida-based company remains committed to investing in the state’s infrastructure, adding that the Port St. Lucie expansion reflects Wire 3’s ongoing mission to strengthen connectivity for homes and businesses alike.

In August, Wire 3 began a privately funded $100 million initiative to extend its fiber network to parts of Lake County, targeting Eustis, Leesburg, Mount Dora and Tavares, with the goal of symmetrical speeds up to 10 Gbps for residences and enterprises.

This expansion underscores Wire 3’s broader objective to create “10-Gig cities” across Florida while expanding access to its high-speed fiber network.
