Tulalip Tribes Seek Proposals for FTTP Project

Following a March 2025 Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program grant, the Tulalip Tribes in Washington state have issued a Request for Proposals for their Fiber to the Premise (FTTP) project. The plan aims to deploy a high-speed XGS-PON fiber network to around 700 homes on the Tulalip Reservation.

In March 2025, the Tulalip Tribes were awarded a Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program grant to complete a fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) project. The initiative will deliver a state-of-the-art XGS-PON fiber network to approximately 700 homes on the Tulalip Reservation, improving internet access, reliability, and speed for the community.

The Tulalip Tribes (Washington) are now seeking proposals from experienced engineering and construction firms to provide services for the TTFTTP project, including engineering & design, environmental review, construction, and construction management.

Current opportunity: Request for Proposal for engineering, design, environmental review, construction, and construction management of the Tulalip Tribes Fiber to the Premise Project (TTFTTP).

RFP schedule (tentative):

  • January 5, 2026 — RFP issued
  • January 19, 2026 — vendor questions due by 2:00 PM (PST)
  • January 30, 2026 — proposals due by 4:30 PM (PST)
  • February 9, 2026 — notification of short-list (finalist for interview)
  • February 16, 2026 — tentative week for interviews
  • February 27, 2026 — Notice of Intent to award
