Ripple Fiber has announced plans to bring its fiber internet network to Merrimac, Massachusetts, in partnership with the Merrimac Municipal Light Department.
The project will connect more than 3,000 households across the town, with construction already underway and first customers anticipated to begin service by Spring 2026.
Ripple Fiber’s leadership cites efficient deployment and strong community collaboration as key drivers of the project’s progress in Massachusetts, including its partnership with the Merrimac Municipal Light Department.
Residents in Merrimac will gain access to a high-capacity, symmetric fiber network with multigigabit package options, designed for remote work, online learning, gaming, and streaming. The provider emphasizes transparent pricing with no contracts or hidden fees and offers a White Glove Installation to ensure a seamless in-home setup. Pre-orders can be placed online, by phone, or in-person.
Mary Usovicz, General Manager of Merrimac Municipal Light Department, welcomed Ripple Fiber to town, noting that the department has been working to complete the make-ready work and new pole installations to support the service expansion.
Chris Manni, Selectboard Chair for the Town of Merrimac, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the benefits faster connectivity will bring to residents. In addition to Merrimac, Ripple Fiber’s Essex County expansion continues, with ongoing work in Holden and West Boylston in nearby Worcester County, where more than 11,000 homes are now online. Ripple Fiber also plans to open a new Clinton office in early 2026, with a local retail presence at 56 Sterling St., Clinton, MA 01510. Residents in Merrimac and surrounding areas can check availability or sign up online.
