Mediacom Communications has begun rolling out multi-gigabit and symmetrical internet service in Jefferson City, Missouri, the company announced, delivering higher upload and download speeds across a fiber-powered network.
Activation is happening neighborhood by neighborhood and is expected to bring the full Jefferson City area online by the end of October 2026.
The Xtream Internet lineup includes three tiers: 300 Mbps down / 100 Mbps up; 1 Gbps symmetrical (1,000 Mbps down and up); and 2 Gbps down / 1 Gbps up. Mediacom says the platform can scale to 10 Gbps and beyond in future years.
Because the network leverages the company’s existing fiber infrastructure, the rollout can occur without digging up yards or burying new cables.
The operator also announced Advanced Wi-Fi using eero TrueMesh and eero 7 hardware, plus Mediacom Mobile to extend service off‑premises. It also introduced Xtream Connect for qualifying households at $14.99 per month with 100/20 Mbps, and a seniors/military/first responder plan at $29.99 per month with five‑year price lock, free installation, eero 7 and up to 100/20 Mbps.
