Burlington Telecom has named Mike Callahan its new president and general manager, succeeding long-time leader Mike Loucy who retired at the end of 2025. The Vermont-based operator is part of Schurz Communications’ portfolio and has operated alongside other regional broadband properties since its 2018 acquisition.
Callahan joined Burlington Telecom in 2019 after a long stint with Schurz, where he led finance and later headed the network engineering organization. He previously served as the company’s controller, a role from which he ascended to the top post.
Diego Anderson, president of Schurz Broadband Group, praised Loucy’s leadership and expressed confidence that Callahan will guide the operation with the trust of employees, customers, and partners.
In a release announcing the appointment, Callahan said, “I am excited to build on the success of this great team,” noting that nearly a decade of working with Loucy has given him perspective on the company’s direction and a smooth transition for staff and customers alike.
Management said Loucy’s retirement will not slow Burlington Telecom’s plans to roll out additional services and continue expanding their Flight Fiber offerings in 2026.
