AEX has announced the acquisition of Field Squared Inc., boosting its OSS/BSS platform with integrated field service management. The deal aims to deliver a unified, end-to-end broadband operations platform for both open and closed access networks.

AEX announced the acquisition of Field Squared Inc., a field services specialist with broadband operator clients, to strengthen its open and closed access platform.

As part of the deal, Field Squared’s field service management tools will be integrated into AEX’s OSS/BSS platform, enabling real-time scheduling, dispatch, and tracking of network deployment and maintenance across operator networks. The integration aims to deliver a single, seamless platform that connects strategy, operations, and execution for both open access providers and rapidly expanding closed access operators.

“This is a strategic step forward for AEX and for our customers, and we are excited to welcome Christopher Camut’s leadership to the team,” said Stuart van der Veen, Chairman of AEX.

Cornelius Greyling, Chief Product Officer at AEX, added, “By embedding Field Squared’s capabilities into our software, clients can operate faster, smarter and more resilient—whether serving millions of homes open to competition or scaling closed access networks.”

Christopher James Camut, CEO of Field Squared Inc., will join AEX as President, Software Division, bringing decades of product leadership to accelerate AEX’s software roadmap and strengthen delivery for customers.

The integration brings Field Squared’s capabilities into the AEX ecosystem, giving broadband teams field service tools to schedule, dispatch, and track work in real time across deployments and maintenance tasks.

Ripple Fiber’s recent acquisitions and the broader trend toward consolidated, platform-based approaches underscore the strategic value of this move. AEX notes its platform already supports major PON OEMs, enabling consistent experiences for subscribers and service agents across diverse equipment.

Automation Exchange Infrastructure LLC positions itself to lead the next phase of strategic M&A in the broadband infrastructure software market, with a platform designed to reduce operational risk and accelerate rapid, coordinated execution.
