IQ Fiber appoints Doug Guthrie as chief operating officer to accelerate network deployment and customer service.

IQ Fiber has appointed Doug Guthrie to the newly created role of chief operating officer, reporting to CEO Ted Schremp, as the company continues accelerating its network expansion across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.

Guthrie brings almost four decades of telecom leadership and will oversee network deployment, operational performance, and customer service. His appointment signals IQ Fiber’s commitment to scaling its 100% fiber network while maintaining its customer-centric approach.

Guthrie previously held senior operations, sales, and marketing leadership roles at Cable One, Astound, and Comcast. In his most recent post as vice president of systems operations at Cable One, he led regional technical operations across six regions in 24 states, supporting nearly one million residential and commercial customers.

“IQ Fiber has accelerated our expansion across the Southeast and the Mid-Atlantic,” said Ted Schremp, IQ Fiber CEO. “Doug’s experience leading large-scale operations will be a strong addition to our leadership team as we continue our rapid growth.”

IQ Fiber’s network provides symmetrical speeds, ultra-low latency, and reliable connectivity with 99.99% uptime, along with whole-premises Wi-Fi. The provider’s Stress-Free Guarantee includes no contracts, no hidden fees, no data caps, and Wi‑Fi equipment included, with in-house experts monitoring each connection to ensure performance.
